However, I was delighted when an independent film theater opened. Even better, it was going to show My Blueberry Nights for one weekend only! [This weekend.]
I got dressed up in my very first Lolita outfit to go. I was so excited all day long! I was literally counting down the minutes until I could start getting ready.
I went with my friend
The theater itself, the Robinson Film Theater, was really neat. There was a bistro upstairs with a wrought iron balcony that you could eat on. Unfortunately, we had neither the money nor the time to eat there.
Downstairs, I was counting out dimes to buy popcorn and a drink, and a random kind stranger gave me a dollar! It was so sweet, and I thanked him profusely. It really made me smile.
The movie itself wasn't fantastic, but I had a great time!
A central part of the movie is Norah Jones' character sharing blueberry pie with a guy, so my friend and I went out for pie afterwards. We went to the Waffle House. I had pecan pie with whipped cream, and she had chocolate pie.
